A Bit About My Work
How I Got Here
I started out as a sports blogger, writing about football for an audience of pretty much nobody.
I wasn’t looking for a job, let alone a career at the time. But somewhere along the way, organisations started reaching out, asking if I’d work for them as a “content writer,” a title I’d never even heard of at the time.
And that’s how 2015 found me.
Eleven years in, the part I still enjoy most hasn’t changed: getting a sentence to do exactly what it’s supposed to.
Good Copy Earns Its Place
Every piece of content I work on has a job, to convert, to rank, to explain, to sell, and if it isn’t doing that job, no amount of polish saves it.
That’s the lens I bring to copywriting, editing and SEO alike: write for the reader first, but never forget the page still has to perform.
